Ugly Christmas Sweater Bingo

In honor of the holiday season, the Middleton Area Optimist Club hosted "Ugly Christmas Sweater Bingo." We had a good number of entries to choose from including our very favorite bingo caller Victor Islas.

We've been told that part of the fun of Optimist Bingo is the camaraderie. And of course, the cash prizes. Be sure to join us when bingo returns on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Middleton Rural Fire District.

"Monster House" is final Movie in the Park for Middleton

The Middleton Area Optimist Club and the Greater Middleton Parks and Recreation District will host the final free Movie in the Park for 2012 on Saturday, October 13, 2012.

It will be a busy  and extra fun day with Harvest Festival in the afternoon, the Thriller Dance Contest followed by the movie, "Monster House." Take a look at the trailer, bring your popcorn (or buy ours - only $1), and come enjoy the movie.

Gobble up the Winnings at Optimist Bingo

It's back! That's right, Optimist Club Theme Night Bingo returns to Middleton on Saturday, November 3, 2012, at the Fire Station. Doors will open at 5:00 p.m. and the early bird session starts at 5:30 p.m., regular session at 6:00 p.m.

The Middleton Area Optimist Club offers cash prizes and lots of fun for bingo. So don't be a turkey. Join us!

Harvest Festival comes to Middleton this Saturday, October 13, 2012.

The Middleton Area Optimist Club will be at Foote Park supporting all the events and hosting Movies in the Park at dusk. Along with pie-eating and baking contests and a long list of great activities including a magic show, jump houses and hayride, the Optimists invite you to come and spend the day.

"Monster House" plays at dusk. Tell your neighbors, bring your friends and enjoy the community events brought to you by the Greater Middleton Parks and Recreation Department and the Optimist Club.

Zombie alert!

October 13 is Harvest Festival in Middleton. It's also the last evening to enjoy free movies in the park this season. We plan to celebrate Thriller style! In honor of the Halloween season, the Middleton Area Optimist Club invites all zombie dancers to show us your stuff. Learn the dance and participate in the Thriller dance-off before the movie. It will be fun!

"Kids Spooky Movie"

The "movie that was made in Middleton" will premier this Saturday, August 11, at Free Movies in the Park. Please join us for "Kids Spooky Movie."

We are so proud to be a part of the Middleton community! And we are showing our pride this year with our first entry into the Middleton 4th of July Parade.

PINK OUT Bingo on June 16, 2012 at the Middleton Fire District

The Middleton Area Optimist Club and the Greater Middleton Parks and Recreation Department will use the June Bingo event as a fundraiser for Middleton Firefighter Jeanie Allen who is fighting a rare form of cancer.

This notice appeared on the club's Facebook page:

 "We are so excited to be a part of PINK OUT BINGO in honor of Firefighter Jeanie who is fighting the fight. This Saturday, BINGO NIGHT proceeds will be for her benefit.

Plus there will be silent auction items, raffles, and a special cookie buffet in her honor. As always, we'll have CASH PRIZES for our players.

We sure hope to see you there. THIS SATURDAY, June 16 at Middleton Fire Station. Doors open at 5:00. Games start at 5:30."

Time for BINGO!

Please join us this Saturday, April 21, 5:00 p.m. at the Middleton Rural Fire District for our monthly bingo FUNdraiser. We're raising money for Movies in the Park in coordination with the Greater Middleton Parks and Recreation District.

From there, we'll decide on new projects to serve our community.

In the past year, the Middleton Area Optimist Club has provided more than $1,300 worth of tennis equipment to the Middleton Middle School and Vision Charter School and supported health and wellness through "Let's Jump" with the Junior Optimist Club.

We're always looking for more projects and welcome your input. Please stop the Fire District any Monday at 6:30 p.m. and get involved.

How EGGS-citing!

The Middleton Gazette and the Greater Middleton Parks and Recreation District are spreading the word about the Annual Easter Egg Hunt in Middleton. Bring the kiddos - infant through 5th grade - to Foote Park on Saturday, April 7. Games start at 9:00 a.m. and the hunt begins at 10:00 a.m.

It's that time again!

Bring your daubers and say BINGO to free movies.

Doors open at 5:00 on Saturday, March 17 at the Middleton Rural District Fire Station for one of the most fun activities in the Middleton Area. Cash prizes are awarded!

In conjunction with the Middleton Parks and Recreation District, and with your help and support,  we'll be bringing free movies to our park this summer. Now that's something that everyone in the family can enjoy.

Bingo begins at 5:30 on February 18

We're so excited that Bingo has been so well received in the Middleton community that we've decided to ramp up the fun!

Starting on February 18, the doors will open at 5:00 p.m. An early bird session will begin at 5:30 and regular Bingo mania will begin at 6:00.

We've added hot dogs, nachos and more to our menu. Come early, have a bite to eat and enjoy your friends and neighbors and maybe, just maybe, you'll take home some cool cash.

Proceeds will benefit Optimist Club projects in the Middleton Area community. Among other things, we're working with the Middleton Parks & Recreation District to bring free movies to the park.
