Calling all ugly Christmas sweaters to BINGO!

It's that time again. The holiday season is upon us and we'll gather soon for UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER BINGO!

Make your plans now to join the Middleton Area Optimist Club for BINGO, December 5, 2015. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. Early bird games start at 5:30 p.m. and regular games start at 6:00 p.m.

Buy-in starts at $10. Must be 18 or over to attend. Wear your ugly Christmas sweater and you might win a prize.

It's a Halloween theme so come dressed to party and you may win a special prize.

As always, doors open at 5:00 p.m., early bird games start at 5:30 p.m. and regular games start at 6:00 p.m. There are concessions, a hot ball drawing and lots of cash prizes. Must be 18 or older to attend.

Bingo is a fundraising activity of the Middleton Area Optimist Club. Proceeds support youth and community serving projects in Middleton.

Coming in September

There are two great activities coming to you in September from the Middleton Area Optimist Club. 

First, on September 12, 2015, is the final movie of the Free Movies in the Park season, complete with the Optimist Family Fun Fair. Come early and enjoy Free pizza, a jumphouse and chalk art fun. Showing at dusk will be The Box Trolls. 

According to Netflixlife.com: 

"Set in Cheeseburg, a much older, Victorian Era-type city, The Boxtrolls is about Eggs, a young boy is raised by the Boxtrolls, who are trolls who wear cardboard boxes and collect trash. Many of the residents of Cheeseburg don’t fully understand the Boxtrolls, which causes a very significant problem for the Boxtrolls. When the city exterminator Archibald Snatcher tries to exterminate the Boxtrolls, Eggs and his family and friends fight back."

The second fun, and this time adult activity, takes place on September 19, 2015 when the BINGO season kicks off at the Fire Station. As always, doors open at 5:00 p.m., early bird games start at 5:30 p.m. and regular games start at 6:00 p.m. There are concessions, a hot ball drawing and lots of cash prizes. Must be 18 or older to attend.

Hey, it's a free movie week! Please join us in Foote Park at dusk on Saturday, August 15, 2015. We're showing Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, NO GOOD, VERY BAD DAY.

This Disney flick is sure to make the whole family giggle and laugh. Come on down for popcorn and fun.

Play kickball like an Optimist

Kids of all ages can play KICKBALL with the Middleton Area Optimist Club!

On August 27, 2015, the 2nd Annual Kickball Tournament will return to Hawthorne Park in Middleton, Idaho.

The tournament is open for those 8 to adult.

Teams are made up of 8 to 10 players; entry fee: $5 per person.

Registration forms are available at the Middleton Parks and Recreation Office, 310 N. Hawthorne, across from the park.

Planes: Fire and Rescue flies into the Free Movies in the Park

This Saturday, May 16, 2015 is the opening night of the Free Movies in the Park season brought to you by the Middleton Area Optimist Club and the Greater Middleton Parks & Recreation District with support from the Middleton Rural Fire District.

We're excited to invite you to join us at Foote Park for a movie on the BIG SCREEN. We're showing Planes: Fire and Rescue.

Grab a blanket, bring the family and be ready to watch at dusk. Concessions - with lots of popcorn - will be available.

There's a fiesta in Middleton

Got a sombrero? Then you need to wear it to one of the best fiestas around. This Saturday, May 2, 2015, the Middleton Area Optimist Club will host one of its favorite events: FIESTA BINGO!

 This event is special because we not only have cash prizes for a good call of bingo, we also have street tacos for a real Cinco de Mayo feel.

The Middleton Area Optimist Club is excited to announce the schedule for Free Movies in the Park 2015.

 The first movie kicks off at dusk, May 16, 2015 in Foote Park. Grab a blanket, bring the kids and come early for the best seat. Grab a hot dog, popcorn and pop and enjoy.

 All money raised at the concession stand is returned to the community in the form of family-friendly activities. We can't wait to see you there!

Once a year, in conjunction with Middleton Unplugged, the Middleton Area Optimist Club invites the whole family to play at Free Family Game Night Bingo. The Optimist Club provides the daubers, prizes, refreshments and fun. You provide the family, be it one, two, or twenty-two! Join us on Saturday, April 25, 2015, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Middleton Rural Fire District.

Thanks to our area merchants (a full list will be provided later) for helping the Optimist Club make a special evening for the families in the Middleton community.

For our regular bingo players, you are welcome to attend, but please know there are NO cash prizes at Free Family Game Night Bingo, April 25, 2015, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Luau Bingo is April 11

April is a busy month for the Optimist Club. We'll be at the Easter Egg Hunt with the Greater Middleton Parks and Recreation District and the Middleton Gazette on April 4, 2015 and the Middleton Rural Fire District Open House on  April 6, 2015. For that reason, we've decided to hold the April Luau Bingo on April 11, 2015. It will be island-type fun! Hope to see you there.

As always, doors open at 5:00 p.m.; early bird games start at 5:30 p.m. and regular games begin at 6:00 p.m. The cash prizes grow larger when more people come to play. Bring your friends!

As we are gambling, you must be 18 years of age or older.

Don't forget to dress in your beach attire because you might win a prize!

Find your Pot o' Gold

The Lucky Leprechaun will visit Middleton, Saturday, March 7, 2015. He will be spreading good cheer and sharing cash prizes with to  who are lucky enough to shout: BINGO!
